Walk & talk uphill to Heidelberg Castle

Walk uphill through the old town for 900 metres or take the shuttle bus to the evening reception at Heidelberg Palace: enjoy the beautiful view of Heidelberg with a flying buffet, wine and music.

There will be ground markings for the way up to Heidelberg Palace. Moreover, local staff will presumably guide you in the right direction.

The bus shuttle will leave from the street “Untere Neckarstraße” just behind the Heidelberg Convention Centre. The first bus will leave at 5:30 pm and several busses will operate until all participants that wish to go by bus will be on the Palace. The bus will stop close to the Heidelberg Mountain Railway station. From there, it is only a few metres distance to the entrance to the Palace. The bus shuttle will be executed with electric busses only!

For the way back from the Palace into the city, the electric busses will run as well. They will start again at the same bus stop as at the arrival. However, the busses will only stop at the Bismarckplatz and not at the Convention Centre. The Bismarckplatz is the central hub for local public transportation.
